Statement

Taking my use of digital tools a step further, I began working with CNC fabricators in the early 2000s to cut different materials using my digital drawings as guides. Visualizing a 3D piece while designing with 2D rendering software is both challenging and exciting.

The popularization of consumer-grade laser cutters has made precision 3D art more commonplace since I began this series. What sets my work apart is my ongoing dialogue with energy and movement, challenging myself to make pieces that appear to subtly morph and undulate.
