The Dream Log simplifies sharing your inner landscape on the web. You can post a Facebook note directly, or post via email to Live Journal and Blogger.
1. Facebook. When you choose to post via Facebook, you’ll need to do two things: Log in with your account, and approve The Dream Log as an application that can post to your wall. If you have already logged into Facebook on your iPad, The Dream Log will use this authorization.
2. You will be asked if you approve The Dream Log. We only use your authorization to post the note to your wall. We do not ever store your private details, or see who you’re friends with, or try to get your aunt to see who’s viewed her wall. If we could ask for less information, we would.
3. The Dream Log makes a guess for a title of your note, which you can edit before posting. For instance, if you put “Unicorns and faeries danced across a blue meadow” as the first line of your entry, that’s what The Dream Log will entitle your note.
Just tap Post, and your note will be on Facebook before you can switch to Safari to see it.
4. Live Journal. The Dream Log features a convenience formatting to make Live Journal email posts. To make this work, you’ll need to activate email posting on your account. Once you’ve created a PIN, just enter it with your account. The Dream Log never stores your PIN.
5. The Dream Log also offers the convenience feature of the LJ Cut, in case you have very long dreams. You’ll need to choose some text to use as the cut, or stick with “More awesomeness....”
6. When you tap Post, The Dream Log formats your entry in an email with the optional LJ cut text, and inserts a '--' above your signature so it doesn’t show up online. You can choose to edit your post more from here.
7. Blogger. The Dream Log can make Blogger email posts, too. To make this work, you’ll need to activate email posting on your account. Once you’ve created a secret word, just enter it with your account. The Dream Log never stores your secret word.
10. WordPress. What about WordPress email posts? These work a little differently, and you can just use the Email (envelope) button to make a post. Here’s a bit more on how to activate email posting on your WordPress account.
